It’s here again the 2017 edition of IN THE ABSENCE OF A DOCTOR. The theme for this year is IN THE ABSENCE OF DRUGS. The date is Saturday 5th August, venue is the Victory Dome and the time is 9AM. Come and learn tips for healthy living. Other highlights of the day include free biometric screening, free dental checks and free eye test.
Guest Speaker for the day is Dr Nkechi Olalere (Dr Ketch). Dr. Nkechi Olalere is a Medical doctor who has had an extensive career spanning General medical practice, Managed Care/Health Insurance and wellness. She started out her career in clinical medical practice and subsequently moved into Managed Care/Health Insurance. At various times in the managed care industry in Nigeria, she has served as Head of Quality Assurance and Head of Medical Services for Clearline International Limited (HMO), pioneer General Manager and subsequently, Managing Director of Redcare Health Services Limited (HMO). She was, until very recently, the Chief Operating Officer of Hygeia HMO, where she oversaw the entire operations.
She, presently, runs Northbound Consults, a wellness company dedicated to Corporate wellness solutions and production of wellness content for various media. The flagship wellness content of this company (Tips For Healthy Living with Dr. Ketch and The Dr. Ketch Show) has been nominated for the Healthcare Excellence Awards in media for two consecutive years.
She is an alumna of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (M.B.,B.S.), Lagos Business School (MBA) and University of Liverpool (MPH). She is also a member of the postgraduate communities of Harvard Medical School, Harvard School of Public Health and IESE Business School, Navarra Spain. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, member of the International Health Economics Association and a Certified Corporate Wellness Specialist. She received the Excellence Award in the Nigerian top Executives in the Financial Services and Insurance Industry (2015) publication.
Dr. Olalere is an author, dedicated blogger, public speaker,and facilitator on issues of public health concern.
