GICC Young Adult Convention

THEME: BE DIFFERENT
(I Samuel 10:6)

1 John 1: 14b .. I have written to you, young people, because you are strong and because God’s word remains in you and you have overcome the evil one.

Every young person in the Lord should pay attention to these vital statements: ‘you are strong’. What made them strong? It is because ‘God’s word remains in them’. So what happens after that? They have become overcomers because the word of God remains in them and that word is their strength that made them strong.

Therefore, no young person will have any excuse before God if he or she is being overcome by the devil. It simply means that young person has ignored the secret to strength to become an overcomer, which is the word of God retained in him/her.

If young people must overcome the evil one, it is time to give attention to the word. To retain the word you must study, memorise and commit the word to heart, live it, speak it, and let the word produce power through faith in Christ Jesus.
