Eden Prays February 2018 – LOVE

LOVE

Dear Father, we thank You for Your deep love towards us, for sending Your only begotten Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ to suffer on the cross for our sake, so that our sins could be forgiven and that we may live with You forever and You dwell in us.

 

Lord we know that we do not warrant Your love and yet You have showered unconditional love and grace towards us through Christ – we thank You for these and praise Your name forever.

 

Lord we ask that You strengthen us in our love towards one another, that we may love as You love us and live according to Your will and purpose for us.

 

We pray dear Father, that You fill us with the fullness of Your love, that we may share with others in truth and in compassion as our Saviour did while on earth and still continues to do at Your right hand. We ask dear Father that You pour Your love on us that we may be a ceaseless stream of Your love to the world around us.

 

Help us to demonstrate Your love not only to the lovable ones, and our friends and family, but to our enemies. Even during the hard times, disappointments, loss or pain, that we will express Your love in us at all times.

 

We pray dear Lord for our brothers and sisters who have fallen in and out of love with so many people and their hearts are still not at rest. We pray that You direct their paths to find a love that brings peace like a river to their souls. We pray that they will make the right decisions concerning their spouses and partners.

 

Dear Lord, we pray for our country and our leaders, that Your love will reign and have pre-eminence in their hearts. We pray that they will rule and govern with Your love directing them and informing the policies and decisions in the high places.

 

We pray for the global community that in places where there is anger, strife and war, Your peace reigns supreme in the land. We pray dear Father that the hearts of men and women are opened to Your love in all the nations of the earth.

 

We pray dear Father that Your Holy Spirit will convict the hearts of men that they may see the need for Your love that appeared unto all men and they will come to the knowledge of You.

All this we ask through Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.
